We talk with Dr Claus Patz about Geisenheim, and the recent evolution from wet chemistry to spectroscopy in analysing wines.
Dr Claus Patz is a food chemist responsible for quality control of wine and juices at Geisenheim Grape Breeding Institute. Claus lectures and conducts practical experiments in the laboratory with students. His research into wine includes the analysis of grapes and wine using spectroscopy technology.
