- Mark Driver on Rathfinny Vineyards 1
Overview
Former fund manager Mark Driver was first inspired by wine when he visited New Zealand in 1990 and now, some 20 years later, he is establishing his own vineyard in Sussex. He purchased his land 18 months ago in the summer of 2010 and is planting Riesling, Pinot Meunier, Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Mark tells us why he decided that England was the place to produce wines and how he came to own his 600 acres of south facing slopes running of 2.5km along Cradle Valley. Mark is studying a foundation degree in viticulture and winemaking at Plumpton College and is helping to fund a new wine research centre at the college.
