- Cameron and the first years of Growth at Rathfinny
Overview
Cameron is a top viticulturist from New Zealand and is now vineyard manager at Rathfinny Estate. He talks to us about the new vineyard, which has many good things going for it. The site is south-facing with free draining, chalk soil and good temperatures. But wind has been an issue as the vineyard is on quite an exposed site and so to protect the vines, trees have been planted to act as a wind break. There hasn't be a harvest so far but Cameron is gearing up for the first crop in 2014.
