- Julia Trustram-Eve of Wine GB Part 2 - Wine Tourism
Overview
Julia talks to us about wine tourism in the UK, which has advanced considerably in the past decade. This year we have seen producers working together to promote tourism in their region. Examples include the Wine Garden of Kent, the Sussex Wineries initiative, Vineyards of Hampshire and Surrey Hills. These groups are creating wine trails and tours as well as promoting their own cellar door sales. Many producers such as Three Choirs, Rathfinny, Camel Valley also have accommodation at the winery. Regions such as Devon, Cornwall and Wales continue to attract tourists
There are also several companies popping up who organise English wine tasting tours, such as www.englishwinetastingtours.co.uk and VIP tour operator www.vipwinetours.co.uk/copy-of-douro-experience
