- UK Wine Show 76 Robert Joseph
Overview
Robert Joseph is a well-known British-born wine expert and writer. In 1984, with Charles Metcalfe, he launched Wine International Magazine and the London International Wine Challenge, which grew to become the world's biggest wine competition. Since then Robert has also launched International Wine Challenges in Asia (China, Japan, Vietnam, Singapore, Hong Kong) and Russia and in 2007 will launch the first event of this kind in India. He was the wine correspondent of the Sunday Telegraph for sixteen years, until 2001, and is the author of more than 28 books, twice winning the Glenfiddich award for wine writing.
For the last 2 years Robert has been involved in making and blending wine wine in the South of France. He also has a new book out called The Wine Travel Guide which features places to visit throughout the world including China and India. As well as wineries the book also recommends restaurants and places to buy wine.
Robert predicts we'll be seeing more Chinese wine in the UK and more 'new latitude wines' from between the tropics.
