Freixenet Copestick expands portfolio to NZ

The Freixenet Copestick portfolio continues to expand with the purchase of New Zealand icon Wither Hills.

Freixenet Copestick is continuing its acquisition strategy as it builds an international portfolio of producers. After its recent purchase of English producer Bolney Wine Estate, it has now purchased New Zealand icon winery Wither Hills, located in Marlborough's Wairau Valley. Wither Hills was one of a handful of wineries that put Marlborough on the map in the 1990s. The winery has been owned by brewers Lion Nathan since 2002 as part of their portfolio of wines.
