How it works
Set a date
if you have already set a date we'll need to check availability, otherwise we can find a mutual date or provide a choice of dates. Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays need to be booked further ahead as these are the busiest days.
Number of guests
We'll need to know how many guests you think will attend and have numbers confirmed at least two weeks in advance. Minimum numbers are 12 - if you have fewer than 12 we can still host the tasting but need to charge for 12 guests.
Venue
We are mobile and can come to your home to host the tasting or to an alternative venue that is happy to accommodate us. At a restaurant the tasting needs to be in a private room rather than the main restaurant. Some will offer the room free of charge, provided you stay to eat. Others may charge you corkage on our wines. Here are some venues we have used previously or can recommend.
Food
We suggest nibbles or cheese & biscuits are provided plus water during the tasting.
Tasting Kit
We provide wine tasting glasses, spittoons and all of the kit needed for the tasting. Most of our tastings are 2 hours long but can be shorter or longer as required.
Payment
We ask for a deposit of £100 to confirm the booking and the balance two weeks in advance of the event. The deposit and balance can be paid by card.
Terms & Conditions
Private bookings
To confirm a booking ThirtyFifty require a non-refundable deposit of £100 or 25% of the total fee - whichever is greatest, based on the estimated number of guests at time of booking.
This deposit is required within 10 working days of a provisional booking being made.
The balance is payable two weeks in advance of the event based on final numbers confirmed with a minimum of 12 people.
If you cancel the tasting ThirtyFifty will charge the following cancellation fee:
If the booking is cancelled more than 10 working days before the date of the tasting ThirtyFifty will retain the deposit. This deposit can be used against a future tasting if re-booked within 6 months.
If the booking is cancelled within 10 working days of the wine tasting the deposit will be retained and may not be used against future bookings.
