This show was published 07 October 2011
Professor Ernst Ruhl from the Geisenheim Grape Breeding Institute explains how vines are bred in this second interview.
We hear how vines reproduce and how different breeds are crossed with each other. We also talk about clones and clone selection and how, through their breeding programme, Geisenheim are protecting the genetic diversity of grape vines.
