IWSC results released and New Zealand storms in

Its a great win for New World wines as this years IWSC results are announced, taking 15 of the 24 trophies. In particular New Zealand stole the show winning International trophies for Pinot Noir, Sauvignon Blanc and a surprise win of the Chardonnay trophy. The Chardonnay category has been won by South Africa for the last 3 years and is a great result for New Zealand who are relatively new to the Chardonnay grape.

The IWSC Sauvignon Blanc Trophy was awarded to The Crossings Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc 2013; the Bouchard Finlayson Pinot Noir Trophy to first time entrant Ceres Composition Central Otago Pinot Noir 2010 and the Mission Hill Chardonnay Trophy to Jules Taylor Wines Marlborough Chardonnay 2012 (on-premise blend).
