Free online wine course on Burgundy
A free online wine course will be offered by the University of Burgundy as part of the European Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) initiative. The course covers subjects from viticulture, understanding terroir, tasting techniques and vinification, alongside the history and cultural importance of wine. The course will run for 5 weeks in various formats from online seminars to video blogs and interactive tastings. The course content has been provided by the main teaching staff of the Jules Guyot Wine and Vine Institute including Sandrine Rousseaux and Olivier Jacquet, with input from winemakers including Françoise Arpaillanges of Domaine Françoise Jeanniard in Pernand-Vergelesses.
