Frosts hit Burgundy vineyards

We've certainly been experiencing a cold snap in the UK with snow on Tuesday here in London and elsewhere. But Burgundy vineyards have been hit by severe frosts. The Burgundy Interprofession (BIVB) explained that it had affected vineyards across the entirety of Burgundy and even vineyards that usually escape such freezes have been affected. The higher vineyards in Chablis and the Grand Auxerrois appear to be the worst affected, but the north of the Cote de Beaune was also severely hit. There have been reports of severe frosts in other areas such as the Loire, Languedoc and Abruzzo in Italy. The full extent of the damage isn't yet known.
