California harvest looks like a good one in 2018
The California harvest looks like a good one for 2018 thanks to a slightly cooler growing season which meant a longer growing season. This allowed a better build up of flavours, where normally the build up of sugars means grapes are picked earlier because of high sugar levels.
Yield was up 2% compared to 2017 at an estimated 4.1 million tons, according to the United States Department of Agriculture forecast.
