One Body for English Wines

As English wines gain more and more prominence on the international wine scene, producers are calling for a promotional body to represent producers and growers. Sam Lindo, chairman of United Kingdom Vineyards Association, wants the organisation to join with the English Wine Producers to create a new group. This combined group would look at issues such as lobbying, taxation, funding and exports. Currently English Wine Producers only look after the promotion and marketing of English Wines. With English wines flavour of the month, Welsh producers are said to be feeling sidelined so any new organisation name will need to reference them too.
