Champagne Jayne beats the CIVC

Champagne Jayne is back after a 3 year legal battle with the Champagne Wine board CIVC. In 2011 her book Great, Grand and Famous Champagnes. Behind the Bubbles, won a Gourmand book award. In 2012 Australian Jayne won International Champagne Educator of the Year and was made a Dame Chevalier de L'Ordre des Coteaux de Champagne. Her international business was thriving and then CIVC stepped in and tried to stop her using the brand name Champagne Jayne. She has and continues to have a good relationship with champagne producers many of whom disagreed with the CIVC's actions. She remains upbeat though - bubbly even! - despite having to foot legal costs. She will still be extolling the virtues of champagne but this won't be the main theme. As a public speaker, educator, journalist and speaker she will be talking about small business, entrepreneurship and lessons learnt from her recent ordeal. We toast to that!
