Cornish winery develops low alcohol wine style to rival Asti
Cornish wine producers Knightor based in St Austell have just launched a new lower alcohol wine inspired by Italy's Moscato D'Asti and Germany's Kabinett and Spatlese. The wine, Mena Wweg, has an ABV of 7.5% and is seen as ideal either as an aperitif or suitable to match with Asian and Ethnic food. The Cornish winery started planting vines in 2006 and were keen to create something new and original within English Wines. Spirited Wines are currently listing 2 of Knightor wines - their Madeleine Angevine and Knightor Brut NV.
