Bordeaux prices continue to fall on Liv-ex

In January this year the Liv-ex fine wine index was down for the first time in 12 years and in February the index was down for the first time in a decade, when, typically, there are positive gains in the first quarter. The top 5 Bordeaux producers in the Liv-ex indices posted losses including a 1996 Latour, a 1996 Lafite Rothschild, Margaux, Haut Brion and Ausone. Burgundian wines seem to be holding value slightly better than Bordeaux producers. This is a continuing 11 month slide for the Fine Wine 100 index.
